About IQAC

As per AICTE guidelines every institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC becomes a part of the institution’s system and works towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.

The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions.

IQAC Committee established at Government Polytechnic, Jamnagar continued to strive for the betterment of processes and setup.


IQAC shall develop methods and procedures for:

  • Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
  • Ensure relevance and quality of academic programmes.
  • Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
  • Set up credibility of evaluation procedures.
  • Ensuring the competence, maintenance and functioning of the support structure and services.


Functions of the IQAC Committeare:

  • Development and application of quality parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution.
  • Distribution of information on the various quality parameters of higher education.
  • Organization of workshops, seminar on quality related themes.
  • Documentation of the various programmes /activities leading to quality improvement.
  • Acting as nodal agency of the institution for quality related activities.
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report(AQAR) and same will be uploaded on this website.
  • To Guide Program Assessment Committee.
